ARTIST BIO
Dr. Camber Flick is a professional oboist located in Lexington, Ketnucky. She recently received her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Oboe Performance and cognate in Live Entertainment Management from the University of Miami, Frost School of Music where she was a Henry Mancini Institute fellow. She received her Master of Music degree in Oboe Performance at Ball State University under the instruction of Dr. Lisa Kozenko in 2022, where she was the Oboe Graduate Assistant. Camber graduated Summa Cum Laude from Western Illinois University in 2020, earning degrees in Oboe Performance and Music Education after studying with Dr. Emily Hart.


PERFORMER
Camber is an international soloist having performed the Mozart Oboe Concerto at the InterHarmony International Music Festival in Acqui Terme, Italy. Other festival performances include Festival Napa Valley as a Blackburn Academy Orchestra Fellow, Wintergreen Chamber Music Festival, the Carloyn Hove English Horn Masterclass, Southern Oboe Intensive, Lucarelli Oboe Masterclass, and the John Mack Oboe Camp. Camber's recent performance of the English horn solos in Stravinsky's Rite of Spring can be found on her youtube channel @camberflickoboe. Music Educator
Camber holds an active teaching studio both in Lexington, Kentucky and online via Zoom. She has taught more than 30 students internationally and domestically in fifteen different states within the past seven years. Her students have gone on to pursue oboe at the collegiate level at Indiana University, Jacobs School of Music, Ball State University, University of Norte Dame, and Luther College. Camber has held multiple reedmaking and oboe master classes for woodwind methods courses and oboe studios at the University of Miami and Ball State University.
