ARTIST BIO
Camber has been studying oboe for sixteen years. She is a Henry Mancini Institute fellow at the University of Miami, Frost School of Music, where she is pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in oboe performance. When not performing, Camber teaches reedmaking and oboe lessons both in person and online via Zoom. Half of her studio is taught online with students in Illinois, Indiana, Texas, and Florida. Click on the "Take Oboe Lessons" tab to learn more.
PERFORMER
An avid performer and collaborator, Camber regularly performs with the Henry Mancini Institute Orchestra, Frost Symphony Orchestra, and Frost Wind Ensemble. Chamber Music
- On April 23rd, 2022 Camber gave a woodwind chamber music recital where she performed the Villa Lobos Duo for Oboe and Bassoon, the Poulenc Trio, the Hindemith Kleine Kammermusick for Woodwind Quintet, and the Triebensee Trio for Two Oboes and English Horn.In both Fall 2021and Spring 2022 Camber performed Aaron Copland's Quiet City for English horn, trumpet and string orchestra.In the summer of 2021 Camber attended the Interharmony international Music Festival in Aqui Terme, Italy! Here Camber studied chamber music and performed the Poulenc Trio for Oboe, Bassoon, and Piano, and the Two Rhapsodies for Violin, Oboe, and Piano. Camber founded the Celestial and Stellar Winds, two woodwind quintets on campus at Western Illinois University in 2018.
